Darn —- 100,000 signatures on a defective petition. This was a straw man — it will get rejected.

The general public needs to get a lot more streetwise. A Michigan recall petition has basically only one requirement: it must be factual.

This petition violates that one, simple requirement. Ugh!!!!!

The petition should have read: “On (date) Governor Whitmer said ‘(exact quote)’. We petition to recall Governor Whitmer.”

Now, this 100,00 signature petition will get thrown out at the first hearing.

even if it wasn't defective, it needs 1.25 million signatures; 25% of the last vote

It would be nice if something actually happened to one of these shitheads for what they’ve done.

Petition! Hah! That's like writing a very strong letter telling her you are not happy with her.

It gets flushed. Kind of like our Obummer petitions. nothing burger to them.

There IS one, and it's an official recall petition NOT a pointless online poll. You have to show up in person to sign the recall, for more information go here:

Petition is defective.

The petition reads:

Recall Governor Whitmer. Her failure’s during the Virus is causing more Michiganders to get sick. Closing and banning various non-essential businesses and activities while leaving others open. Further promoting the pandemic. She has lied since day one with her #Fixthedamnroads which she has failed to do anything in this regard. The response to #PFAS was negligence and completely removing funding for #PureMichigan clearly shows her lack of anything positive for the State of Michigan.

Why? Because the petition must be factual. If any sentence or words can not be absolutely proven as fact, the petition will be thrown out at the first hearing.

Example: “ Her failure’s during the Virus is causing more Michiganders to get sick.”. That is almost impossible to prove that sentence as fact.

The petition does not have to explain why you want the recall, it only has to be 100% factual.

Something like “On (date) Governor Whitmer said ‘(exact quote)’. We petition to recall Governor Whitmer.” would meet the requirement.

What 100,000 have signed will not.

Michigan seems to be a testbed for support of socialism. If it goes down with no pushback then it will be moved to other states.

They will install socialism in other states and call it "protecting from the virus" and when it's over they will never remove the laws.

Why do you think they go on about "the new normal"? So support for socialism will grow and grow.

They're not serious. Not a single one of this petition's signers actually wants the Governor recalled.

Because there IS a process for doing that, and it's not by signing an online stupid petition.

If they really meant to recall her, they would follow that process.
