What lots of people fail to understand is that Trump is an independent. Only reason he didn’t run as one is because he understands that the two party system is rooted too deep into this country and he would not be able to do anything going against both.
I hope once he gets his second term he starts building a base for a third party. We desperately need it in this country, as unless you rally as a D or R you have no good chance at holding public office.
IDK, I know a TON of Bernie Bros and regular Dems who consistently vote third party. I think Republicans, especially the religious type, would be just as apt to vote strict party line as the hardcore Libs would for Democrats.

Exactly this. I don’t even consider myself Republican anymore. Republicans are a bunch of pussies who wouldn’t even fight a liberal grandma who took their kids toys.
Because they are there for long term.. they want to keep their nice warm place not to disrupt the balance.

I'm with you on that. But he has a LOT of things to balance on his plate in a second term. He's been mostly succeeding with one party completely against him, and the other party holding secret meetings on which 10% get to go against him on any particular issue. I'm not sure even he can accomplish what needs doing next term while fighting an OPEN war on both parties.
So far, he's proven himself better at being a politician than those who've spent decades at the task, so i am extremely hopeful that he build a valid third party without sacrificing his ability to "do business" with the entrenched political elite. It is a nigh impossible task, but if anyone can do it, GEOTUS is the one.
