Buy American whenever you can, and just as importantly, buy it locally whenever you can. I'm not saying to give up on Home Depot or CVS or whatever, but if there's something you can get from the local hardware or pharmacy, get it there. Help keep those folks in business. I needed a putty knife and a couple small wire brushes for a project earlier this week, and I bought them from the local hardware, which has been serving this community since the 1890s. I'm pretty sure that Ace stores are local franchise owners. Same with Pro Hardware.
