CQVFEFE, yes. There was never a reason to treat any State all the same way. Cities are densely populated. Every State has large area that is very low population density, even NJ. At most the initial 15 days to clamp down on those areas too just to get an idea of how many are infected, but after that first 15 days we saw a HUGE portion of the Country have 0-10 people infected per County. With most of those Counties being really big. So everybody infected had been flushed out, developed symptoms, knew they had it, and self-quarantined. That was the whole objective.
It was up to the Governors to lift the restrictions on those areas. DJT never imposed those restrictions, it wasn't his place to lift them. Very few States treated any area differently from any other, which is unbelievably stupid.
Did I think people would die from an engineered virus? Absolutely, we lost 80k two flu seasons ago and 900k were hospitalized.
Did we need to commit seppuku as a nation over Bill Gates' IMHE Fake Models based on Chinese Propaganda and Italy being a population in decline? Absolutely not.
Trump tried to tell everyone on Hannity on March 4th, don't panic. Media pivots against that once they knew what direction he was going. I'm assuming they would accuse him of however many people they claimed died of Kung Flu as murder counts against POTUS. His poll numbers have risen but at the expense of paralyzing the country and the economy.

You have to understand, we were only testing those with severe symptoms in the beginning. So yea, obviously the death rate is going to seem higher than it is. As soon as we started ramping up testing, we went down to like .4%. And even that is still higher than what it actually is because of all the asymptomatic people not being tested
Think about it, if we only tested for the flu on the people who go to the hospital for it, the death rate would be way higher

When the local Leftists all started pushing the "flatten the curve" narrative I just assumed it was a combination of A: repeating something they read on Facebook trying to sound smart B: wishful thinking that they could sit home from work/school and/or celebrate their long-running NEET-ness but with gibs-enhancement. As it turns out, it was both.
Well it appears that we have flattened the curve too much. We're not using the resources that were prepared; and by over-flattening, we have extended the curve in time.
