Freedom and privacy go hand in hand. The tweet makes no sense?

I don't agree with Scott's point, of course, but I think he means we have no freedom now under the quarantine, whereas if we give up privacy by letting the government know everyone's location at all times, then the government can quickly figure out who might have been exposed to an infected person, while the rest of us are free to go to work or even jog alone on the beach. It seems like a great idea for Communist China, but it would never work in America, because America is filled with Americans.

Disappointing. Fuck Scott Adams.

In the rest of the tweet thread, Scott Adams wrote:

I can imagine a system in which we are all anonymously tracked for virus tracing purposes. The algorithm could spit out text messages warning people of contact with the infected without any human being aware of the specifics. Maybe have some bipartisan oversight too.

Mass surveillance and FISA court were quickly abused to try to throw a presidential election. Knowledge of the location of every* citizen at all times would likewise be abused for "suicides" for political gain.

* CIA and FBI exempt, naturally.

Scott is close to those in power and thus prone to their delusions. His prespective is usefull in that he is in the contraian camp of the elite but he is a man shaped by his enviroment as we all are.. Thankfully we outnumber them..

He never lived without freedom. I did. You can't have less freedom, but keep all your stuff, no, slaves only get enough to survive and reproduce.

i have no idea what he is saying. is he ab testing? trying to figure out where his audience stands. is he making a point about refusing both options in favor of one that includes both? he will probably explain it based off of the response he got
