I've been casually avoiding Chinese products for a while now. I am now in full P and G fuck china mode.
This war is two fold:
Mitigate the virus the quickest.
Rebuild the economy the quickest.
We will win!
If so, Xi could be gone soon.
I expect China could get quite a nice bounce if they dumped Xi Jinping and his inner circle.
The communist part would lose the so called "Mandate of Heaven" and the entire country would fragment into groups of nation states
Taiwan would quickly be recognized by the world organizations
Hong Kong, Macau, and Tibet would fight for independence as would some other regions, mainly the coastal highly industrialized ones
A lot of regional wars and famines before things would settle down to the new normal
In some ways it is great for the USA that they have such a shitty government. 1.2 billion Chinese incentivized through capitalism and with a fair system would be formidable.

We'll see China take a big hit from this virus. When we go to the market we need to be careful of touching carts, door handles, etc., because this virus can be transmitted via hard surfaces. So in the future do you really want to put a new iPhone (made in China) on your face? Most consumer products in your house are made in China. Are you going to trust that they are coronavirus free? Do you trust anything China will say/do to defend itself, it's practices, etc.? The worst is yet to come to China's economy as people all over the world fully grasp the deceitfulness and treachery of China.
