This is a situation that few understand. We can be happy that our loved one is present with GOD and solemn that they are no longer with us at the same time.
That is because we, and our loved one, have faith in God. (The real one)
If he had any special sayings, start using them. You'll hear his voice in those words. My mom was fond of saying "Well that is a good job done" Now my family says this too and we've all agreed that we hear her voice when we say it.
My condolences to you and your family. It's indescribable; the pain of losing a father. My dad is up there. I bet he welcomed your dad with a bright smile. I'd like to think so anyway.
It's been almost 2 years to the day since I lost my dad. Mom has been gone for 20 years already, so he was all I had left. So I know the feels. It will get better. You will find yourself slipping up and forgetting, and the realization of that will bring it all back to the surface for a time. But it will get better. Don't dwell on the arguments and ill will you had (don't worry, we all had it at one time or another), but reminisce about the good times. It may make you cry in the beginning, but you will do it with a smile on your face. Later, the crying will lessen. It will get better.
What a blessing you must be to him. We are not in the land of the living, going to the land of the dead. We are in the land of the dying going to be among the living. Your father is a kingdom prepared especially for him & has a seat next to him prepared for the day you’ll see him again.
May God watch over you and the soul of your father. If you miss him this much then he did a lot of good in life. I don't doubt that he was a really cool dad. Maybe you can tell his stories to your kids or maybe wait a little until the crazy blows over before you start telling his stories. You can go write them down in case you're afraid that time will make you forget.
Feeling for you. Praying for you. Someone I love was called home on Resurrection Day a few years ago. There can be sadness along with knowing it is well. We are all diminished with his passing. You are not alone.
My condolences for your loss, pede. I hope you can think of your loss as your father's gain. Just think of him in glory and in the presence of our almighty God, and that should help take some of the sting away. All blessings to you.
God Bless you and your family. We all pray for you.
God bless. Your words say he did a great job. He raised an outstanding kid!

The only one!
Yes. He was a humble servant his time here and I know God has a special place for him to serve in Heaven.
Just remember, to see him again, you have to be that same servant of the Lord and make him proud. God Bless.
Praying for you too, Mad Hattie!
Your father has found peace, be at ease for him, maybe this thought can give you a small comfort.

There are few more noble acts than to be able to live in honor of a good father who himself honored the Lord.
