Actually he didn't. He said with hindsight could we have started earlier? Sure. Who couldn't/. This is media and CNN not Fauci.

They are purposely twisting headlines and facts to create division.

They may be here in high numbers, downvoting and circle jerking, but they aren’t the voice of rational Trump supporters.

It is important for people to remember that they twist EVERYONE'S words. Not just the President's. This is especially important when the "source" isn't a world famous figure with loads of contradictory evidence readily available. Random doctors in other countries, "researchers", professors, whatever vague authority you've never heard of before and likely will never hear from again. Why wouldn't the media twist their words even MORE severely than they twist the words you can easily look up and hear for yourself?

The real answer is to stop believing anything they tell you. If they're obviously wrong about one thing you know and can prove, why ever trust them about anything you don't know or can't prove?

Close enough

The man is a snake. Who is he suggesting was PUSHING BACK???

Tapper said, “Do you think lives could have been saved if social distancing, physical distancing, stay-at-home measures, had started the third week of February instead of mid-March?”

Fauci said, “You know, Jake, again, it’s the what would have, what could have. It’s very difficult to go back and say that. I mean, obviously, you could logically say that if you had a process that was ongoing and you started mitigation earlier, you could have saved lives. Obviously, no one is going to deny that. But what goes into those kinds of decisions is complicated. But you’re right, I mean, obviously, if we had right from the very beginning shut everything down, it may have been a little bit different. But there was a lot of pushback about shutting things down back then.”

But then watch him on Jesse Watters, where he explains that they basically acted on the information they had at the time, and he conceded that the information was faulty and they would likely determine who is at fault in the future.

His massive ego won't allow him to be honest on CNN. It's a Trump hating environment and he plays to that so as to get approval and strokes.

Watters doesn't hate Trump so Fauci controls himself a little better.

Was it CNN, or Gateway Pundit?

GP is known for clickbait headlines that turn out to be false.

January 21st he said it was not something Americans needed to worry about.

And still for some reason Trump supporters are blaming the media, not Fauci.

How many times does this megalomaniac have to backstab POTUS before people stop defending him?

Fauci doesn't want people to worry about coronavirus, the danger of which is "just minuscule." But he does want them to take precautions against the "influenza outbreak, which is having its second wave." "We have more kids dying of flu this year at this time than in the last decade or more," he said. "At the same time people are worrying about going to a Chinese restaurant. The threat is (we have) a pretty bad influenza season, particularly dangerous for our children." - Dr. Fauci, Feb 17, 2020

Wrong.

Impeachment was over Feb. 4.

Fauci is talking about something that happened Feb. 21, and he never said Trump should have shut down anything.

More bullshit fake news.
