nice but fuck the testing. we shouldnt need to be tested, wearing masks, and "certified ok" to get back to normal.

DrDT 22 points ago +22 / -0

I came here to say this ^^

F universal testing. Think of the potential abuse of power inherently present in a system where the government can compel you to take a test and then can revoke all your liberties if they determine you fail. Especially when you don't have the ability or capacity to replicate the test!

18
BillionsAndBillions 18 points ago +19 / -1

Not to sound dramatic, but if they mandate a test or a certificate in order to go about your daily life, this effectively repeals the entire Constitution.

keepwinning 10 points ago +10 / -0

Absolutely sickening how quickly these changes were forced on us all.

Illegal and unconstitutional order after order. Unchallenged. All for the greater good.

Model after model bunk data. Forcing fraudulent cause of death on death certificates.

How will this turn around?

usdodsgssog 14 points ago +15 / -1

I wish more people realized that there are some of us that can't wear a face mask without causing constant runny noses. I'm so screwed if I have to wear one to work or do just about anything.

keepwinning 6 points ago +6 / -0

Get antibody test. Probably already had it

5
Razeontherock 5 points ago +5 / -0

This has not been stated to be the case anyway. I can;t imagine DJT shredding the Constitution like that.

Testing is the way SK avoided shutting down. Testing is the best way to open things up again

TIME TO LET US GO! ..That means you, Adolf Whitmer...

24
usdodsgssog 24 points ago +24 / -0

Aw dangit, does this mean the governs are gonna force us to get tested before we can go back to work? And gear up on face masks? Noo, they're going to force us to wear masks to do anything. Ugghhh. I just want this to end...

19
sustainable_saltmine 19 points ago +19 / -0

welcome to New Japan where everyone walks around with masks on 24/7 because they're hypochondriacs

14
usdodsgssog 14 points ago +14 / -0

I have no problem with others wanting to wear one but if I don't wear one, I'll be looked as a murderer.

No you won’t. People will think you’re immune.

Actually its largely due to Cedar pollen allergies.

I'm "essential." I'm already at work every day. Are they going to arrest me if I keep going to work without getting a test or "certificate?" Will I be fired? Do I lose all my rights?

2
Razeontherock 2 points ago +2 / -0

Nobody's said anything of the sort. I can't imagine DJT will implement any such unconstitutional policy.

Team Apocalypse overplayed their hand. Daddy isn't pleased and will take away their play toys very very soon.

2
SilverStarv5 2 points ago +2 / -0

I wouldn’t advocate the use of a leather belt on children but I would like these punky governors getting whipped.

After all, ‘tis the season…

3
Razeontherock 3 points ago +3 / -0

They need to be tried as mass murderers. At least the ones denying sick people medicine unless you're in such bad shape that you've already been admitted to the hospital. Not every death since 9 million pills of HCQ was donated to the US was preventable, just most of them.

18
Yucky 18 points ago +18 / -0

I really hope this means he is ready to instruct the governors to open things back up.

Thats how I read it

I think it can't mean any other thing. He's going to get that second task force to back his play this week to open on May 1. Texas is in the preparation/planning mode now and when one state goes, the rest will follow. The blue state tyrant's won't be able to hold back the wave of people screaming at them to open.

Razeontherock 3 points ago +3 / -0

All at once is asking for trouble. All the rural areas, Counties with 0-10 infected people, and everyone who's recovered should've been back to work April 1.

We'd get data on "second wave" is a way that can't possibly spiral out of control. By tomorrow should've been ready to open up at least lots of suburbs, if not all. Counties with 11 up to maybe 200 infected people, depending on how things went.

Cities will be a lot harder, and should be last.

11
mrh218 11 points ago +12 / -1

This is the second best news of the day! I think this means announcing no Federal restrictions. States are on their own to get people back to a real life.

If a state is ready, they will look good and Trump will praise the leadership. Businesses and patriots will move in to states that support American livelihoods.

If they are scared (or unprepared) and don't open quickly, then he can call out their failure compared to other states. If they botch the reopening, then he can call out the failures while offering assistance. Businesses and patriots will move out.

3
Razeontherock 3 points ago +3 / -0

It was a bad idea to close down any whole State, and it will be a mistake to reopen any whole State all at once. Population density is a huge factor in infectious disease spread. Every State has rural areas, and cities. Why our Governors are too stupid to realize this is not the worst part, it's that they're mass murderers

11
TakingCoatsWIN 11 points ago +11 / -0

I see a lot of comments suggesting Trump is telling governors that everyone needs to be tested before they are let out into society. That is not what Trump is saying, Trump is saying to get their shit together because he will be reopening the economy soon. Testing is for those with symptoms not for every citizen. Whether individual governors try some shit like that is a whole nother thing.

3
BillionsAndBillions 3 points ago +5 / -2

Mandatory antibody testing and certificates have been pushed by Fauci and company. It's not so far fetched to think the new guidelines would include mandatory testing.

7
TakingCoatsWIN 7 points ago +7 / -0

And Trump has retweeted a tweet with the hashtag #FireFauci. So many people who think Trump is weak every time we have a crisis to then be proven wrong. I still remember so many pedes thinking Trump was getting us into a war with Syria and Iran and that Bolton was running foreign policy and Trump was being lead into abyss to then Bolton being out on his ass when the time was right.

3
Razeontherock 3 points ago +3 / -0

Fear not! DJT hasn't issued any unconstitutional directive yet, and I don't believe he will. What Dr Doom big farma Fauci and co want is irrelevant.

1
HiGloss 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's impossible

1
BillionsAndBillions 1 point ago +1 / -0

You could say it is unlikely, but it's not impossible.

11
Esodo 11 points ago +12 / -1

So does all this have to do with Trumps plan to open the country back up? Sounds like it but not for sure

10
EpicTrump 10 points ago +10 / -0

President Trump, my favorite President, is about to unleash the American people from our captivity! Watch us get this economy fired up and roaring! Buy, baby, buy American! 🇺🇸❤️🦅

9
Proud_American 9 points ago +15 / -6

This is why the Texas EO hasn’t been revealed. The governor has been very vague about what’s in it.

They want to play games with testing and wearing masks and distancing that we won’t like.

No directive has been issued. I don't believe DJT is going to direct something unconstitutional. He hasn't yet.

6
phibetared 6 points ago +9 / -3

Be ready, big things are happening? I don't like the sound of that.

5
BillionsAndBillions 5 points ago +5 / -0

First time a Trump tweet actually scared me. I hope I'm reading something into it that's not there.

2
Marshall 2 points ago +2 / -0

It just sounds like he's going to recommend going back to work. Mitigation goes from isolation to protection in phase one. Then gradual normalcy as the numbers improve.

IT'S NOT SCARY!

1
BillionsAndBillions 1 point ago +1 / -0

All big government "solutions" scare me by default, especially ones which "mitigate" a flu bug by suspending my rights until I get mandatory testing / injections. We don't know for sure that's what will happen here, but I'm wary of it.

1
Marshall 1 point ago +1 / -0

I don't think he is advocating mandatory testing, but just like drug screening, it might be a choice for employers. I will not ever take a mandatory vaccination. But I may choose to take Shingles shots or Flu vaccines. But NEVER with a chip.

2
phibetared 2 points ago +2 / -0

Agreed. It feels like most people are (not surprisingly) missing it. If this really was a bio-weapon attack, there could easily be a 2nd one. :(

6
MaxineWaters4Prez 6 points ago +6 / -0

No fucking face masks.

No fucking testing.

Hospitals are empty. It's on the decline. Open America back up.

Sounds like Trump wants to open the country back up for business but all the Governors want to put up road blocks for mandatory Covid checks. If you have cold or flu symptoms, whether or not its covid positive, you're going to be forcibly quarantined. No work permit for you, peasant. We can't have you infecting our Boomer class.

2
Razeontherock 2 points ago +3 / -1

The "boomer class" bs is ignorant. The oldest baby boomer turns 74 this year. The biggest problem is in the 70+ demographic, very few of which are baby boomers.

The demographic with the most people infected is 40 - 59. The youngest baby boomer turns 56 this year. Again, very few baby boomers in this category, either.

Besides, a boomer is our most potent part of the nuclear triad, a very specific submarine. Either that or an NFL QB, Boomer Esiason.

1
Marshall 1 point ago +1 / -0

BOOMER HATER!

1
Greatest_adventure 1 point ago +1 / -0

Somehow I think there will be waves of at-home antibody testing in place soon, to support a phased opening.

1
ryvrdrgn14 1 point ago +1 / -0

I might have been ignorant, but it feels like this is the first time all the governors are being put out there in front of the people.

2
BillionsAndBillions 2 points ago +2 / -0

And look how quickly almost every one of them became a tyrant, given the opportunity.
