Very cool.

As an evangelical protestant, I have a lot of love and respect to the traditions of our Catholic and Orthodox brothers. Don't agree on everything, but value many of their perspectives on our mutual faith.

I love that the icons tell the story of God's Word through images.

Icons arent just images according to the most ancient expression of Christianity. This was 1400 years before Christianity was turned into a religion in the West. Icons are more like sacred windows that allow us to connect with reality. Its like the difference between a picture on your wall of the "outside" versus a window that allows you to see the outside and that allows the outside in. Btw the ancient Church that compiled the bible considers it to be an icon. We are ALL called upon to be icons. I highly recommend The Orthodox Way by Oxford scholar and convert, Ware, for a heart and mind opening read.
