The minute fauci walked into Trump's office and said "2.2 million people could die here", Trump only had one option - shut everything down.

That doesn't mean that Trump ever believed the 2 million number (which was always bullshit).

Yeah Trump's been trapped in a mine field for sure. With the world freaking out in a panic, he couldn't just stand there and say "this is bs and justa flu bro". It would drive me insane to be in his shoes and watch the economy while having to maneuver through this nonsense.
