Then, the people who were watching that (with no supervision from their parent) assumed that was acceptable "behavior," since it was on daytime TV. They didn't watch "news," they saw the interruptresses on "The View" and similar shows interrupting each other and their guests.
As the years went on every movie/TV show went this way, replacing dialogue with a series of interruptions and triggered outbursts over-reacting to the slightest manufactured offense. Leftists who received their social cues from this "programming" used these movies/TV shows as the blueprint for their "behavior," creating more rudeness and disruption in society along with the predictable downsides that ill-mannered misbehavior will bring. Giving dumb people smart-phones just threw gas on the fire. All bets were off, as far as us having any hope of a peaceful sensible society again.
I've been watching this thing accelerate down the Slippery Slope for decades. The momentum is concerning, to someone who remembers how polite life was 50 years ago. Just 5 years ago MSM and fake "news" were still courteous to Trump and his family, and treating him like a success-story celebrity as they had since the 1980s. There was rudeness and partisan propaganda on TV and social-media, but it wasn't the norm just yet. It all changed when Our President announced his Campaign to oppose "Her Turn."
