This is a serious post for a few who will accept it. I don’t expect it to be a popular post but this is for a few who are listening.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

God wants his people to follow him. For too long Americans have strayed from being a God fearing nation to following our own wicked ways and sinning against God. If we want to go back to our 1950’s white picket fence America then this is our only hope, but even more important than that version of America is eternal life. Turn away from wickedness and follow God. We can do this together.

God bless you all.

I'd personally love a post that has resources, and offers a good jumping off point for those interested. I know a lot of people that, like me, have done a full 180 and are firm believers now, and excited to jump in, but get overwhelmed with the proposition of reading the bible, choosing a church, etc, but would likely love a post that offers a kind of introduction, some reading material, and general direction as a starting point.

Start with Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John (The four gospels). Read through them twice if you can, then proceed through the rest of the New Testament. Everything before that is Old Testament and it’s as important as it will reveal the foundations. Read it when you’ve gone through the new. The Bible is God’s word and it’s crucial. It’s his primary communication to us so don’t neglect it and find you a good church. Pray about it.

If you’re worried about what kindve Bible, Id recommend going onto your smart phone and downloading a Bible app. King James is a good translation to get started on with your reading.

It’s awesome that you believe. Now we must follow God 😉

I know what you mean, it took me a long time before I finally joined a church, and I was kind of slow to get into the groove of reading the Bible too.

I'll definitely try to get that kind of introductory post up soon.
