I’ll 1-up you. In 1971, the UN decided to recognize the PRC as China and kicked Taiwan out of the UN. Prior to this the ROC (Taiwan) held the Chinese UN Security Seat since the UN’s inception (since they did all the fighting and were thus present when the Japanese surrendered). This is why the permanent security council seats belong to the US, UK, France, Russia, and China (at the time ROC China).
What happened was this: in 1971, after more than 25 years of ROC control of the Chinese UN seat, a tiny country, Albania, a former Soviet client state now under the PRCs influence after a bad break up with the Russians, submitted an UN resolution to kick the ROC out of the UN and recognIze the PRC instead. All Communist nations voted in favor.
So Taiwan was kicked out of the UN. The PRC was given the Chinese permanent security council seat and thus has total veto control. Now Taiwan will never be recognized due to the CCPs veto. Don’t like the PRCs treatment of Uyghurs ? Veto. The UN will do nothing.
Mention this fact to the idiots on Reddit who say the UN is an apolitical organization and that Taiwan has never been a member of the UN gets them all riled up.

I think if the virus brought one good thing, it's that it exposed a LOT about the communists and how leftists seem to seamlessly cooperate with them - the leftist media, WHO, China. Well if you go by what info is out there. Atm it all comes from China in dealing with the early stages of the outbreak. So take it with a lot of salt. Though most of it is from doctors that where silenced by the CCP.
In December human to human transfer was rampant in China. More to the end than at the start. At the start, Wuhan was really struggling as they (doctors) knew something was spreading and killing people. Doctors knew it was a type of coronavirus.
In was near the end of December when it was really out of control. Of course the CCP and the WHO did everything to keep it hidden from the world.
People were still traveling. But like I said the info is from China. But mainly from doctors that had to deal with it.
Now US., the best nation in the world, is excluding our taxpayers money from WHO?
