The Abbott antigen test machines are being distrubuted and so maintaining the lie is no longer practical and the smart people are getting out early, admitting the threat is over.

Over half the country is already immune, this will be proven in days with the new machines. Dab of blood and five minutes later the machine knows if you are immune. These are the machines Trump keeps talking about at the dailies.

Do we know how effective the antibodies are after the initial infection? What kind of reinfection rates are talking about?

Interesting question but not relevant to reopening. The goal of the shut down was to pass the peak so that infected people could get treatment. We are past the peak. The medical system had the resources at the peak. They will have the resources to treat the small percentage of those who need hospitalization. Time to reopen.

Oh believe me, I know we have no choice but to reopen. We are killing the food supply chain, and God help us if we totally tank it. I'm just wondering if talking about the antibodies is the right line to take. I just wonder what this bug does on the second exposure.

Sure won't.

Sorry - think I replied to the wrong person initially. Anyway, it's a good question. I don't think they know. At the moment there is some evidence of reinfection, but the numbers are super small.

You sound like a leftist - one that doesn't have anything to add to the discussion. Questions are important and necessary.

I thought your question was good... I dont think anyone knows that yet, though. It does appear that the virus does not spread as easily in warmer weather, which means that it will probably die down in the summer.

What we need to figure out, is if it will come back in the winter.

Over the summer federal and state governments will be replenishing their stockpiles, so supplies shouldnt be that much of a issue.

Found the DNC plant 👆

Hey let’s keep the country shut down until the FDA has completed clinical trials on anti-bodies because there might be side effects.

You sure as hell didn't, and that's not what I am saying at all. Sit on it and rotate.

And yet my state just added all kinds of restrictions and even some cities started a 9pm curfew. What the fuck is going on? The founders of this country are spinning so hard in their graves right now that we could use them as an alternative energy source.

I just read the article from WSJ, screw them! Notice they never put these two words together, "President Trump". It's either Mr. Trump or the President but never the two together. It's clear that they don't consider GEOTUS as their President.

Governors across the U.S. said they plan to coordinate regional efforts to gradually reopen businesses and ease social-distancing guidelines, even as President Trump said he had the ultimate authority to restart the economy.

First paragraph, though they don’t use it again. I’ve noticed NPR does the same, lots of “Mr. Trump”.

There's days when I've wondered if I was one of the "asymptomatic" cases. There were times I felt..."off", but never sick. Nothing that would put me to bed, or even slow me down. Just a couple tiny symptoms.

I've got asthma, but mainly under control with strong meds, so even if I had lung problems I may not have noticed, but sometimes I'd get a tiny bit of tightness and a little bit of mucus. I have seasonal allergies every year, but this year they've felt, different. Like the consistency of the mucus is different. Not really congestion or anything, but a tiny bit of a runny nose and post-nasal drip. I've had a cold flash or two, which went away on its own without any fever. And I felt my heart racing a time or two and my sleep cycle was completely weird. Which could have been stress, but...

All of a sudden all these weird little half-symptoms that lasted weeks are gone. I don't feel any less of the "cabin fever", and I've got my share of stress, but suddenly, it's like something switched off. No heart racing. No mucus...not even seasonal allergy mucus, no tightness in chest (not even for athsma), no cold flashes, no messed up sleep, nothing.

My kid had a slight cough this year that he had trouble throwing off, but he was never, well, sick sick. It was like he also had "a fraction of a cold".

I've known others with similar. And I know my brother got a "bad flu" a few months back.

Really makes me wonder. I wonder how many were like me. Or even if it was in my head.

If there was an easy antibody test, I'd take it.
