I foresee the following problem:

Gestapo Governors use the natural decline in the number of virus cases as a sure sign their draconian stay-at-home orders and business closures are 'working.'

Hence an excuse to seize more power with unconstitutional edicts to the 'masses' for their own good.

Almost like if it was someone’s job to track infectious diseases and they knew when and where they would spread, if fake models were made of a yearly occurrence you could get the entire planet to panic.
