I was simply commenting that auto repair should not be shut down, as that was the thread.
That being said, liberals are always talking about the importance of the arts and yet in the shutdown all our art supply stores are shutdown. So next time liberals want to fund art should we say "Nope, not essential!" I need to get some underglaze for my ceramics and I can't go pick any up. It is frustrating what they deem essential and what is not essential. I'm furious about it, because EVERY business is essential!
California's list of essential workers says "automotive repair that facilitates the distribution of cargo or people (public transportation)". Its pretty vague, exactly what you would expect from communism, a couple sets of different laws and you're always violating at least one. Do you have a permit to get your oil changed citizen?

The people drawing these lines between what is and isnt essential are not equipped to make these decisions. I dont know what they think gives them the right to do it but I want to see them challenged on this in court
IMHO A Man's Work is a gift, not just what goods it provides, satisfaction.
It's why I think one has to find work that is at least satisfying that you can immerse yourself into be it painting a fence, raking a yard or rocket surgery.

It is in Minnesota. Most places will come to your house, pick up your vehicle, service it, and then return it. Auto repair is definitely essential!

Sacrificial worker. In short government is willing to accept the risk you have to exposure to a damaging element for which they declared an emergency.
You will stock the shelves. You will see the patient. You will serve the nation if necessary through a draft.
