There is no interview. You fill out a sheet and list any relevant experience you may have in management, any licenses you hold that require background checks, that kind of thing is what they want to see if you want to be a Clerk/Asst Clerk for a Precinct.
They are dying for people to work the polls in Florida.
Many states have had a mass exodus of typically retired people working the polls that no longer want to due to fears of being exposed to the Kung Flu.
I handled a precinct during the primary, after being asked to do so by a friend.
It is a hell of a day, be prepared. 12-14 hrs and you cannot leave the poll all day long.
But I also got paid a couple hundred dollars for my time too. Depends on which position you take, how much responsibility, etc. Nothing is hard about the gig, it is just a lot of it and all day.
The low end is I think $100 for the day to be a machine operator. But everyone had to be there all day anyway, so I'd rather make $265 and work a little harder as a Clerk, that is the top end.
But no one is there for the money, obviously.
Personally I did it for the access to the "I Voted" stickers.
People at the poll were super nice and had been working there forever before me so, ymmv.
With all that being said, I'll be there in November too.
