We need to do more than that. Lets say you want to buy a new car, and your choice is between US based Ford, or Japan based Honda. Ford actually gets most of their parts from outside the US, much of their production and assembly is in Mexico. Honda actually hires MORE workers, manufactures more parts, and has more assembly plants in the US that even fucking FORD. How much of a joke is that? So it's not just "buy american" you have to look into how much of what you are buying is actually "made by Americans, in America".
