Back in the ole days on r/t_d I used to argue for some level of leniency for these people. Many of them are brainwashed, I see it with people I know who are decent people, but the relentless droning of the MSM and our education systems do take their toll.
It makes sense to offer an olive branch if someone is genuinely trying to take the redpill. It's not easy.
But, if someone's still a dick even after you've been nice, well tell them to shove their thumb up their bum and swivel.
I'm hopeful for your friend, but if President Trump can't redpill him, who can? Maybe if he watches some Trump speeches and sees what he's actually done (without spin from media), he might come around. Or listen to good conservative speakers like Dinesh D'Souza or Ben Shapiro.
I'm a big ben shapiro fan, but good luck getting any dem to listen to him. Not sure if you're up to date with what the left discusses in their circles, but he is widely regarded as a neo nazi to them. Everything he says is taken out of context and given a headline or caption claiming a racist statement. All dems have seen these videos and frankly it's the only image they have of him. The brainwashing is real.
They all need to actually see his stuff and not the out of context excerpts. However, that will never happen. It's sad but you'll have better luck getting them to watch a trump rally.
