If a cop decided to put his proverbial (or not) boot on my proverbial (or not) neck, it doesn't matter one whit to me whether they're "just following orders" out of fear of taking a stand against unjust orders. They clearly don't value my rights and freedoms enough not to put the boot to me, so what of theirs should I value?
