Only slick when using telepromter.

That's what blows my mind, Obama was a stuttering idiot when he had to go off script. How people didn't managed to see through him is beyond me.

You and me both, friend. Even at his smoothest his words were empty. Plus I found the way that he spoke, with pregnant pauses in the wrong spots, to be clumsy and it really bothered me to listen to the guy.

It sounded intentionally unnatural.

He even used a teleprompter if he was speaking to an audience of elementary school children.

When the entire mainstream media agrees to never criticize and only praise you, it is easy.

I watch it every time someone posts the link

Obama couldn't speak properly when off the teleprompter. He was always stuttering. Meanwhile Trump rarely ever stutters. He speaks so much better.

Most of us liked the idea of a black president to put racism to bed once and for all. It's sad that Barry Soweto is what we got. Lying, corrupt and incompetent; did more to set back race relations than Al Sharpton.

As America's first mixed-race president, Obama had an opportunity to improve race relations in America. Instead, he made them worse due to his frequent race baiting and his condescending attitude toward poor whites.

I couldn't agree more. Would only add his other first.

His race wasn't a plus or minus to me; I wasn't voting for a Democrat anyway. But the fact that other people made a big hoopla over his race was a problem. So much for "I have a dream..."

tombombadil 4 points ago +4 / -0

I couldn't vote in '08 but my lifelong Republican voting parents could. They voted for Obama. The race thing wasn't something they really cared about but it was an added bonus. Their main attraction to him is that he wasn't McCain. We were going through an economic crisis and it seemed like all McCain wanted to talk about was our military and the war in Iraq. People wanted something different and Obama ran a great campaign, posing himself as something new.

Of course, my parents deeply regretted their decision within 1 year, but that doesn't matter.

Isn't it wild how McCain, Paul Ryan, and Romney all came out to be RINOS... I legit don't even know what to think about it. I remember hearing about Ryan a lot as an Ohioan and his tax plans etc but the dude fucked the first 2 years of Trumps presidency in the house.

It doesn't matter what color the president is, racism will never die

4
ClownTamer 4 points ago +4 / -0

If the DNC died, I think we’d at least have popularized identity politics racism go into remission.

3
tombombadil 3 points ago +3 / -0

There is some quote that I have been trying to find for some time. I believe that it was by one of the first black pro baseball coaches. It was along the lines of "we will not know that racism is dead when the first black coach gets hired, we will know that racism is dead the first time a black coach is able to be criticized."

Can anyone help me out with the source?

One other reason is people don't like having "RAYCISS!!" screamed at them.

7
drsowells1fan 7 points ago +7 / -0

And they'll never, ever admit it. It's one of those black issues best dealt with "at the kitchen table". Like OJ slaughtering two people or Michael Vick dogfighting. It's all fine according to the karmic theory of racism, so black criminals are only allowed to be criticized privately, in all black environments.

6
xzibit_b 6 points ago +6 / -0

Sadly 100 percent true. I'm black and my mom openly calls black people criminals. God forbid a white guy does it though. It's hard to argue with NPCs, she's the type of person that is the embodiment of "Dont let your lying eyes deceive you." She chooses the CBS/MSNBC narrative over the very obvious reality that Trump closed the border to China back in January. The media said "It's racist." and then she goes "Yep. It's racist." Then the media memory holes it and does a complete 180 and goes "Trump is Nero. He did nothing as the US burned." and she goes "Yep. Trump did nothing as the US burned." I love her and she did so much for me but sometimes I want to FUCKING explode at how brainless she is.

I've been there. One of my favorites is a black college friend who grew up very middle class, married a black investment banker from an educated family, kids all went to Ivy League schools, great home, enjoying the best life any American of any race could imagine. Reaction to Reagan's election: "Well, I guess we're all going to be shipped off to Africa!" 36 years later her reaction to Trump: "Well, I guess we'll have to move to Africa." Black groupthink is more powerful than Vibranium. Don't let it get your blood pressure up. 😂

Just listening to his commercial on Tuesday supporting Biden and all the other crap he included in it was a total reminder of his smug elitist tone we heard throughout his time in EO

Almost 90 years old and still an American treasure. Bless this man.

Barry Soreto is the “Honest John” character in Pinocchio. If someone calls themselves honest, they most certainly aren’t so.

Obama had a pleasing cadence. A real pied piper.

Whenever I see Thomas Sowell I am always amazed this man is still alive.

He's "only" 89 but he has the same civic sentiment that sadly is thought to be long extinct.

Being able to read intelligibly from a pronpter =/= slick talking.

I know a lot of people have difficulty reading aloud, but it doesn't make you some kind of genius to pull it off. Actors can do that and then some, and most of them are borderline retarded.
