That first reporter kept touching his face to adjust his mask haha! I think masks are more dangerous than not wearing a mask because it causes people to touch their face. I see it everywhere I go.
I'm not wearing those damn masks anymore, I never wore something on my face so uncomfortable in my life, the longer I wore it, my nose started getting stuffy, fuck that shit.
I refuse to wear one. This is just like how everyone responded to 9/11. Gave up their freedom and now let they let themselves be X-ray scanned by some stranger every time they want to board an airplane. I've always operated on the principle of "if you start changing the way you live your life because of something like this, then you've let fear win." I have always been a healthy individual before the China virus, I expect to be a healthy individual after. I won't wear a mask.
In my area, they told everybody to wear a mask. So I had to go out yesterday, and half the people had their masks hanging down around their neck, just rolling their eyes about it and obviously nonplussed at having to have one. It was hilarious. In some ways, I love my neighborhood.
Exactly what I've been saying. Also if you wear the same mask all day you're not making yourself any safer. The reason masks work in a sterile, hospital environment is because they put on the mask right before entering the room and then throw it away as soon as they exit the room, aka, no cross-contamination.
Same thing with everyone wearing fucking plastic or rubber gloves and not changing them out between customers. You're still cross-contaminating, the only difference might be that you won't contaminate yourself (which is unlikely unless these people are taking them off before they touch their face, which I haven't once observed).
Giving everybody PPE and expecting it to be useful without any meaningful training is like giving a monkey a blowtorch and expecting it will be safe because you gave him a welding mask as well.
Whitless is an idiot. "We've seen the curve START to flatten" LIAR! The curve flattened in Michigan on April 7.
Muh it's going to snow anyway so I'll continue to infringe on your rights...
That one guy interviewed last nailed it on the head. Yes we need to be careful, but we need to get back to work. Otherwise, all we're doing is hiding from the virus.
Of course we're hiding from the virus. This is what people want. Including lots of people on .win and so-called conservatives of my acquaintance. They LOVE all the NEW RULES.
I hear you and I agree that we should go back to work. But the virus will go away, whether we go back to work or not. Seasonal outbreaks are seasonal. Yet another reason we should go back to work.
Here's a clip from the local news explaining the situation

Same amount of dangerous either way. Which is like next to none.

Thankfully all of this nonsense is almost over.

Nobody complained about the TSA. Now they want us to wear face coverings like Muslims.
There are good ones like what they wear in Asia.

What I mean to say is that the virus isn't going to just go away just because we sit in fear at home.
