Yesterday he mentioned that at least 20 states are ready to go now. I'm thinking that almost 30 states will get the green light this week or first of next week, and then the other states, depending on their (so-called) numbers of infections, will gradually be able to get back to work, starting with the sectors that are less apt to be affected (so-called) in close quarter situations.

I agree that 20-30 states will get a green light by the first of next week.

And I think this will start a domino effect. Those states that stay closed while other states start thriving again are going to get jealous fast

Do you think that the blue states will largely be the ones that remain closed?

I also think that the Dem politicians in those states will become ever so increasingly pressured by the working class. This is going to be a very interesting study case in the decades to come on how democracy (really a Republic) works. So very interesting to me.

Some states will obviously stay closed just because of virtue signalling demonrat govs... others might because they had an outbreak in 1 city. So NY and commiefornia will probably stay closed for a long time... But Louisiana is red and they might stay closed an extra couple weeks just to be safe.

What I dont get is what a state like Michigan should do.. when they only had an outbreak in their major city, and the rest of that state is fine. Unfortunately their governor is an idiot

I agree the politicians in blue states will be pressured by the people to open (at least in rural areas).

Hopefully this leads to some states (like cali/ny) to break down into several states. The State of Jefferson needs to happen imo, and this could be just what they need to make it happen

As much as I hate Cuomo, I really think it is ridiculous to believe that New York will stay shut down significantly past Memorial Day.

I will freely eat a shit sandwich on this one if I am wrong, but I'm pretty sure that given the amount of local tourism, forget about national and international tourism done in New York?

We can't survive being shut down for the summer, and Cuomo fucking well knows it. If he doesn't, then he'd better be ready to come home to his mansion in flames.

Because people are not going to take that lying down. Even in New York.

This shitshow is gonna paint California red, they’ve been spread thin trying to take back all the states they lost while at the same time ignoring the mass exodus of retarded liberals. In the primaries more people voted for trump than Bernie, and we shot down a tax increase, which hasn’t happened for 30 years. If Twitter is any indication Trump just won the black vote with this check. Combine that with the last few remaining brainwashed libs with some level of intelligence getting extremely pissed about this bullshit shutdown and Bernie bros that are about to vote R the whole way down out of spite, and we just might flip this commie shithole.

Of course, the White House called this (me) armchair political warrior for his opinion....

lol it cracks me up that everyone and their dog has a pretty strong opinion about all this. And we have prolly 10% of the real and true info that Trump and his teams have...haha. But it's fun to be a part of some kind of discussion I guess, especially since we are affected by this shit now more than ever.

It's 100% selfish. On both sides, to be honest. My liberal friends want to virtue signal. I just want to be able to go back to the gym. Abstract notions of people's lives and livelihoods aren't things that our lizard brains are very good at considering thoughtfully.

I think the choice comes down to: would the economy continue to hurt more people by continuing a downward spiral, or would the Kung flu hurt more if we reopened?

Personally I think the more vulnerable should be taking extra precautions, but for the most part they should let people work. Maybe places like NY shouldn't yet.

Build a wall around NYC and the rest of NY can go back to normal.

I agree, there are way too many rich New Yorkers who have vacation homes in Palm Beach (where I work), so no doubt that some of the people getting sick in South Florida were infected by New Yorkers coming down here.

Let’s do that to Detroit too. Actually, fucking Detroit, give it to Canada.
