First the locusts came, and they came in the billions, hungry and feverish for the rustling, thrush wheat. Then they ate all the wheat, and when the people starved, famine broke out, and boils filled with pus and blood appeared on their skin. Then the locusts died, because there was nothing left to eat. Billions of locusts lay dead on the ground...so the frogs came. Because so many frogs left the Nile, certain types of insects were able to thrive in absence of the them, their eggs and larva turned the rivers red, with blood. Then came the deaths from the famine, taking every first born son, loosely translated from Greek and Hebrew as one son per household.
