When you are working on a vaccine, you want the vaccine to be applicable to as many possible strains of a virus as possible. You don't want to create a vaccine for a strain of the virus that mutates away two weeks later and your vaccine is useless. You want it to be broadly applicable.
In order to do that, these researchers create "superviruses" that have gene sequences from other highly contagious viruses and then create vaccines from that. In particular, species of Coronavirus are used because all the worst viruses of the last fwe decades have all been Corona (SARS, MERS, etc.). What was happening is that the virologists in Wuhan were trying to create a vaccine that was broadly applicable to all Corona. because there is no naturally occurring strain that is that transmissible, they created one with spike proteins that were much more aggressive than naturally occurring viruses.
Think of it like this: if you build a bunker to withstand a nuclear bomb, then you have nothing to worry about if someone starts shooting mortars at you.
But this only works if you keep the virus contained.

So it is literally impossible this virus was just found in the wild, mainly because it not only has such a high affinity to the ACE2 receptor (something not natural to bat coronaviruses) but ALSO can attack T cells directly, which is only seen in 3 viruses: this one, a novel coronavirus that a Chinese virologist used for engineering, and the fucking HIV virus. In fact, that virologist is known to have tried introducing ACE2 affinity to the virus she found using... the original SARS virus. Yeah this is the main reason that I think it was intentional. The thing holding me back from thinking it wasn’t is that it seems really really stupid to unleash this on your own country. The only possible reason I can think of for this is that they really DGAF about their people and this was a really easy way to give them plausible deniability. But at the same time it is still going to fuck then in the long run. I can imagine any country is going to be doing them any favors anytime soon at minimum. The virus is thought to cause t-cell apoptosis and NK cell apoptosis or downregulation especially in people who have severe illnesses.
As far as I have read in scientific publications, it is not shown to infect t-cells or have a reservoir in t-cells. Do you have any publications you can cite on this topic?

So it is literally impossible this virus was just found in the wild, mainly because it not only has such a high affinity to the ACE2 receptor (something not natural to bat coronaviruses) but ALSO can attack T cells directly, which is only seen in 3 viruses: this one, a novel coronavirus that a Chinese virologist used for engineering, and the fucking HIV virus. In fact, that virologist is known to have tried introducing ACE2 affinity to the virus she found using... the original SARS virus. So there is no reason to do that for a vaccine or research since it makes it so much more dangerous, because it can more easily infect humans and escape. And that is why the program helping the Chinese study these viruses using gain of function engineering was shut down by the US.
So we know it was almost certainly made to be a weapon and certainly came from that lab. The why is harder to prove, but their actions speak for themselves. It is clear they used it as a weapon and took steps to ensure it would infect countries outside of China. So we are war for that alone. But why release it starting in China? Could simply be done to cover up releases in other countries. Or it could be for internal reasons. When trying to discern 'accidental' versus 'intentional' in the intro of this virus in the public - understand that Xi is now leader for life, i.e, dictator, of China.
