In some countries your allowed to have a percentage of your income for a certain amount of years sent to your college instead of tuition. I think Australia does this. So for like 10 years after you graduate 10% of your income goes to the college. This is the fairest possible way to charge money for college and should happen here.

A better way is the loans you can take can only be 10% of your expected income over 10 years.

So yeah sure if you’re a doctor making 200k out the door, take out a 200k loan.

If you’re a gender studies major, well good luck finishing college without paying a lot out of pocket.

You are mistaken, the colleges will simply shut down the majors with no value on the job market.
