It is the people who knew Barry who were locking their doors.

They knew he was the dangerous drug addict.

They would have heard how he was raised in an islamic country.

Those in Illinois who knew Barry knew he was a communist, he was a drug addict, he was dangerous.

In those days, Barry would often have a white girl with him, as cover. Not sure everyone ran to lock their windows and doors when they saw that.

When they saw Barry's friends, all who did drugs with him, they might have locked the doors when Hasan Chandoo, Imad Hussain and Sohale Siddiqi arrived.

If anyone was "racist", it was, and is, Barry.

But Obama believed he needed to 'fully identify as African American' to fulfill his political ambitions - and believed that having a non-black spouse could damage his prospects, according to the book.

This reportedly put pressure on Obama's relationship with Jager who is of Dutch and Japanese heritage.
