I've read a few articles that seem to indicate that for girls, there's no real hormonal or chemical reason they're gay. However, the same isn't true for men. The gay ones are really gay and not attracted to females at all.
Post puberty men will pretty much all be straight as a ruler, but if something happens to them sexually, like they get molested by a man as a kid, they will most likely only be attracted to men after that. Their body chemistry changes. A lot, if not most gay men will tell you they were molested by a homosexual as a kid.
Protect your children pedes. In any case, it isn't something I studied deeply so if there's studies in contrast let me know.
I'd like to know why I turned out gay. I was never molested by anyone and had a pretty normal childhood.
Since I was very in kindergarten, I remember mostly being friends with the girls and playing house with them. I also remember having boy crushes that I didn't even understand when I was a kid. It makes me wonder why people like me (or my boyfriend), who didn't experience sexual abuse, turned out gay.
It was my understanding that men who are molested as children grow up to be attracted to children themselves.
Thanks for sharing your personal experience. I'm curious if you would be different if you "forced" yourself to do masculine activities as a kid, got a girlfriend during puberty, had straight male role models, etc, if you would have turned out straight.
I'm not convinced of a gay gene, but I do think that body chemistry definitely affects who we're attracted to and then gets solidified sometime mid puberty. I did link above a study that shows gay men were molested by homosexuals nearly 700% more than homosexuals, but for non-molested gay men, I'm curious to studies about how their orientation came to be.

In research with 942 nonclinical adult participants, gay men and lesbian women reported a significantly higher rate of childhood molestation than did heterosexual men and women. Forty-six percent of the homosexual men in contrast to 7% of the heterosexual men reported homosexual molestation. Twenty-two percent of lesbian women in contrast to 1% of heterosexual women reported homosexual molestation. This research is apparently the first survey that has reported substantial homosexual molestation of girls. Suggestions for future research were offered.
So it looks like 46% of homosexual men were molested as children, but only 7% of straight men were molested as children.
As for your case, I'm curious if gay men who weren't molested as a child had a chance to be naturally straight if they followed the path of straight boys their age. Hung out with boys, played sports, had masculine male role models etc.
I was given those options but if we’re honest, as a kid I wasn’t naturally inclined to opt in with them. I’m also not a flamboyant type at all (though weirdly those experiences ironically somehow did also mold me into a libertarian)
