Almost all of the cases are in the Detroit area. When you start getting further north you see numbers like 60, 45, 9, 1 cases per county. So maybe some hospitals in Detroit are inundated, but that's not indicative of "Michigan hospitals."
So, take Crawford County, with a whopping 16 cases. Grayling Hospital, associated clinics, annexed cancer center, associated doctors' offices, etc. are essentially shut down and empty. "Michigan hospitals are full but losing money" is a total horseshit statement from lying media.
The same thing is happening in New York. Hospitals upstate are discussing layoffs because elective surgeries were all cancelled and there aren't enough coronavirus patients to fill those beds. Most of the people that have gotten coronavirus have stayed home
And btw, the article says that McLaren Medical Group is laying off 500 - that system is state-wide. I'd be willing to bet a lot that their Petoskey hospital, with Emmet County's 21 cases of WuFlu, is not full, but is definitely losing money.
