Studies show that for-profit hospitals have

  • A higher level of care
  • Faster ER response times
  • A higher patient satisfaction surveys
  • Employees are compensated better

So, you can believe whatever you'd like. But visit a state-run or non-profit facility and then a for-profit and you'll feel the difference. Luckily we have actual facts that support for-profit hospitals provide a better levels of care.

(Note: If you're referring to the fees, the schedule of fees, how things are managed, that's an entirely different issue and has much more to do with the litigious nature of our society over the last 35 years and not the level of care received).
