It’s like the scene from Lord of the Rings, where Gandalf goes to save the aged king from the evil within him. The king’s evil assistant ‘warns‘ the king of Gandalf, blocking him, whispering lies about him, until Gandalf goes all wizard on him and opens the kings eyes - seeing the assistant as the evil middleman that he was. The middleman, of course, is the modern mainstream media.
