We went from staying home so the hospitals won't be overwhelmed with dying people begging for respirators to "we can't go back to work until we have adequate testing." COMPLETE BULLSHIT. The Javitz Center is virtually empty, the hospital ship too, and we have so many respirators we're shipping them out now. Time to get back to fucking work.
I know most of you hate this state as a whole, but I honestly don't know how long NY will stand for this shit. It's unbelievable that one man trying to look like a hero so he can make a run at 2024 could cost billions of dollars worth of near irreparable damage because he thinks we're not ready to move on.

Where I live, first it was 14 days. This was sometime in mid March. Then it went to April 30. I am sure this will be extended until at least May 15 or maybe they'll just go ahead and say May 31. Talk about a slippery slope. At some point, living under house arrest when you never even committed a crime is worse than potentially getting the virus.

When your job is taken away, you're put on house arrest and then given fines for disobeying curfew or hanging out with your peers - then you see people being released from jail to 'stop the spread' but anyone caught disobeying house-arrest is actually put in jail...

Last I heard, approx 1/3 renters didn't pay their rent this month. Canada is probably no different, though many in our lower society is already on welfare/ODSP or some other form of LTD or ShortTermDisability.

Reporting from the inside of this Liberal Hell Hole. It's not as bad as it seems, no one is enforcing anything. These are more guidelines than anything. I can still go the the supermarket, car wash, etc. No one is holding me back from being outside which is nice. I just took my son to a nice open park in Westchester (I try not to do anything within the 5 boros lol). So far it has been a bit inconvenience, but it's not the most horrible thing i've been through.
