Left the North East for Texas 3yrs ago. No state income tax and lower fuel costs drove down my cost of living significantly. Property taxes are high and state + local sales tax is higher than back home (8.25% vs 7%) but it is still better here overall. Work also pays better. I wish I had made the move 10yrs sooner. Texas is a great state. Just avoid Dallas, Austin and Houston.

Alaska. No state income tax, and as far away as you can be from all the bullshit while still living in the free world. Just come to Fairbanks over Anchorage. The extreme cold in the winter helps keep most of the SJW's away.
Virginia used to be a VERY red state. Illegal immigration and mass refugee resettlement in our North changed that. Voter ID is now illegal and affordable coal power will become illegal by 2024.
"For my own good and the good of others" requires trust and consent. I see now that my trust has been misplaced. I also see now that my Governor has no intention of returning his emergency powers.
