I don't care for Speaker Pelosi, but she wasn't entirely wrong: at the time there was no hard evidence indicating the virus would spread that rapidly, only rumor and speculation. Just as the government-imposed shut down is killing business now, the grassroots shutdown was killing the livelihoods of hard-working legal American citizens who immigrated decades ago to get away from Chinese government control and seek real freedom and prosperity.
The beauty of this is that the only spin which rings true is the same spin Trump uses: China lied, people died. Speaker Pelosi and her surrogates are unlikely to use that approach... she's too tied up in Chinese business dealings to risk making the CCP angry by telling the truth.
As with all of these types of things, some people will see the contradiction and finally get red-pilled (4D Chess). Unfortunately, the NPCs will see the contradiction and go further down the rabbit hole. It's going to get a lot worse for those people before it gets better. Cognitive dissonance is brutal-- especially for the person actively experiencing it.
