I signed up for an art class in March. The school pushed back the start date the 20th and just now sent out an e-mail telling us everything is online. And the tools we'e supposed to use?
ZOOM AND FACEBOOK.
What a scam. Tell us all to "social distance" and route all our communications through these bullshit platforms.
Look on the bright side. When someone hacks into Zoom and shows their genitalia - the school will save money on modeling fees for the life-art-drawing classes.

I'd never even heard of Zoom until the dempanic started. Then, all of a sudden it's everywhere. The Chinese must really be pushing it hard through some back channels. Videoconferencing isn't really new tech there are loads of alternatives yet all I hear about lately is Zoom.

Free to use, wide open security flaws, cached user data, some evidence that it can be used to reverse a connection to the watchers computer.
I see a program that is either so poorly constructed it will be used by opportunistic governments and criminals (but I repeat myself) or was purposely created to accomplish that end
I already requested a cancellation, but I was just shocked this is how they handled it.
