I am dumbfounded how the Democrats chose this guy as their presidential nominee.

My guess is that he is the most moderate of them all and the DNC realizes pushing someone too hatable (ex. Hillary) or left would give the election to Trump. Unfortunately (for them), their choice of moderate has a lot of skeletons in the closet and will lose anyway.
