If that really happened then yeah time to shut it down but I see no real proof that has happened or would happen any time soon. If it did happen, sure shut it down, it's dead at that point.

I think it's a bit unclear. Are they saying it's too much work to do without those other mods that got demodded? Isn't there ways to slow down a subreddit if the workload is too much? What about these "temporary mods" how come that process stopped?
