A Swiss friend at uni told me that while the US murder rate is 250 time the Swiss one, still most violence were imported over unprotected land borders and short distances. The typical gun crime was failing to have one. It was mandatory for men of a draftable age to have his governmentn issued assault gun ready.

If you went to a ski resort and left it at home you were fined. This was some time ago.

Were they required to have their rifle with them on skis, James Bond style?

Fun fact: the main style of equipment in the US is known as "alpine," and was created because the US government thought taking people who had never skied before and having them get shot at while on skis was a good idea.

It was enough to leave it in the cabin, hotel room or the trunk of the car. There were special provisions for traveling abroad. The mandatory arming of all men was part of their rapid mobilization defence strategy.

Nowadays, their defense plan mainly relies upon on holding a large portion of everyones wealth hostage and having the ability to halt global chocolate and coffee production. Besides, everyone knows that they've always had a the ability to yodel the everliving fuck out of their enemies and taunt them from mountain peaks with the refreshing and soothing aromas of a Ricola imbued clear throat,

One of the more underrated GI Joe characters imo.

SPEZ: actually I was thinking of Snow Job. They were both underrated to be honest.

I had a snow job once. Pretty sure it was from a woman. There were snow balls.

It's hilarious that Alpine was a brother. Brothers aren't really known for their affinity for cold weather.

There was a snowjob? Lol, considering that was a term for a scam back then that's not a terribly healthy value to encourage.
