The left believes that our rights are granted to us by and from the government (e.g., healthcare is a right therefore government must provide it). The right knows that our rights are innate to our being, they come from our creator, not a government. The right knows that government can only limit, not grant rights. It cannot give something it does not have.

So in the left's eyes, a president who refuses to give them something refuses to give them their rights, and as such, is a dictator. A president who refuses to enact every conceivable measure or authority, is a dictator.
