This. Back when they sold guns, their gun counter was staffed with some of the most ignorant morons I've ever encountered. So ignorant they bordered on arrogant, somehow. I did buy a few ammo cans of 5.56 from them years ago before they went anti-gun. The only purpose they served after that was as a place to try on shoes before buying them from amazon or zappos for much cheaper.

I once knew a shitbag who took advantage of one of those moronic employees. He went in to buy 20 boxes of Q3131A (5.56 ammo). The kid sold him 20 CASES of said ammo at the individual box cost. Shitbag realized the error but walked out with it anyway. When he bragged at the gun forum about his haul he was savaged with insults.

If the employee was dumb enough to sell him 20 cases for the cost of 20 boxes I'd say the blame is far more on the employee than the shitbag.

That's dishonorable, and I wouldn't have done that myself, but since it was Dicks I got a chuckle out of that story.

Wow! Yeah he shouldn't have did that but then again Dicks should have trained their employee better. I felt a little guilty for taking ten bucks from Academy.

Girl counted my change on a firearm. Should have been 80 bucks back. They count it backwards. Smallest bill to largest bill. Which is confusing especially since there were tens and fives in there. Confused her and me. I felt it looked like too much but was in a hurry and don't have time for cash register games and approvals. Counted it at the car. Ten bucks too much. Oh well, manager that walked me to the door was a D-bag that I find hard to believe he wasn't a felon. I don't even believe he was a manager. Gun counter guy was very cool but forgot my owners manual. Whatever, keep it. Cashier can't count. I like Academy but that location needed to get it's act together.
