Fuck Pakistan.

'Member when the world's most wanted man was found living in a mansion three blocks from a military base and supposedly it was news to everyone?

That was probably one of Obama’s weekend getaway spots he was staying at.

more relief for someone who isn't me.

You buy food don't you?

15
conservativefrank 15 points ago +19 / -4

Buying food with money I earn isn't relief to me. The government shut down my jobs. My jobs rely on mass gatherings. Nobody's plan - not the federal, not the TX keep government in control plans call for a return to mass gatherings. The government took away my income, and now everyone but me gets aid with money that comes from the taxes I pay.

Buying food with money I earn isn't relief to me.

It is relief when a gallon of milk cost $2 instead of $5. A pound of beef is $4 instead of $8. It is relief instead of jacking food prices way tf up when restaurants are closed down and only grocery is buying in bulk

1
ADAM_SCHITT 1 point ago +1 / -0

Wouldn't that lower prices if there is only demand from grocery stores and not grocery stores + restaurants? Although everyone still needs to eat so I can't see the overall demand for food changing too much.

0
conservativefrank 0 points ago +1 / -1

Those prices are going to go up with inflation caused by the huge spending.

Our entire system of governance has let us down. Communists took over in the early 1900s and we have been a communist nation ever since. To think anything otherwise is to be ignorant of history and if you faggots don’t get your act together getting out of this shit is an impossibility

so why are farmers in need of relief? did the plants get sent home too?

6
Examiner717 6 points ago +6 / -0

Farmer here, maybe I can help.

Prices across the board are down about 20-30%. And when our profit margins are about 2-5%, a 20% drop is massive. My small family farm and our 3-4 employees are looking at losses of well over 100k this year alone. Not good. Unfortunately most of the relief always goes to the corn farmers which kind of sucks because I get ridiculed for taking "government handouts" when in reality we rarely ever see any of it ourselves because it goes to a small group of politically connected farmers.

Their biggest customers are restaurants and those are gone.

6
Donald17 [S] 6 points ago +6 / -0

What do you do for a living? Did :(

9
conservativefrank 9 points ago +12 / -3

I work for Major League Baseball, NBA, NFL, XFL, MLS at their games. There's no sign of any return to mass gatherings at sporting events. Looks like MLB income for the year is gone. XFL is out of business - lost half of that. NBA ended early - lost two months and the playoffs.

No worries, I also tutor. Oh wait, schools shut down and now ended for the year.

I filled out unemployment - it came back with more info needed, call the tele center. Call the tele center - every day, 6 hours a day redialing and redialing with the same result. The call center is too busy, go online. Online tells me to call, call center tells me go online.

Ah, but there's some money from the relief. IRS site shows it cannot determine the status.

LET ME WORK. Governor Abbot's plan is a government stays in control plan, not a back to work plan.

Don't worry - property tax increased by 50% this year, home insurance increased by 100%, my health insurance is cancelled because they, not I, made a mistake processing an auto payment. Hey, that's OK, auto insurance is cheaper...nope, they raised the rate in the middle of the policy term - I'm not driving anywhere, but the company raised the rate.

Neighbor: "It's about time we replaced the fence, Let's each pay 50%." Yeah, great time to talk about that.

It's hard, I've got no income either and pretty much no relief.

But imagine the business owners with five or six figure losses per week.

Whining about not getting government aid like a pathetic liberal?

Take that shit back to reddit. You are not a conservative.

10
conservativefrank 10 points ago +11 / -1

Nope. I am complaining about not being able to work. I want to work. I want my jobs re-opened. I WANT TO WORK. Before shut down, I worked 80+ hours a week. I enjoy working, and the income pays my bills. Read my lips you lying leftist - I want to WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!"

If the government is spending 6.5 trillion in aid, and everyone else is getting something, I want my tiny piece. I have to pay the taxes. I will have to live with the massive inflation.

4
NukeTheCCP 4 points ago +6 / -2

80 million Americans have received their tax relief checks. You will get yours soon.

Whining about the President prioritizing our food supply is retarded.

5
conservativefrank 5 points ago +6 / -1

Everyone on my block has received their check. I have not. IRS status shows "Payment Status Not Available" - the FAQ indicates that means I am not eligible.

Two of my neighbors are still working - their businesses/jobs were not shut down. They received the payment.

I cannot work - my jobs shut down, but no payment.

1
NukeTheCCP 1 point ago +3 / -2

That is unfortunate. Try to keep in mind that many millions of people around the world are suffering similarly. At least you have a president who cares whether or not you get relief.

My direct deposit came two days ago. No one else I know has received theirs. Keep checking and hang in there.

1
conservativefrank 1 point ago +1 / -0

Now there's a loose time line. At minimum, it will be mid June before I can get back to work.

Please add in 'Right to Repair' as well. If you don't know what this is, please look it up, it is really a kick in the teeth to farmers.

7
MySidesGoUp 7 points ago +7 / -0

Me thinks this is to bail out our farmers who benefit from the China tariffs...those tariffs will surely be shaken or broken due to China’s batshit.

This may initiate the walkaway movement from ChiComs.

4
Eatinglue 4 points ago +5 / -1

I’m a farmer. Fighting with China has hurt us a lot, but I understand the end game. Drop in oil has hurt oil/ethanol prices, so corn has taken a hit as well as soybeans.

3
MySidesGoUp 3 points ago +3 / -0

Indeed. We’re all caught in the crossfire. some more than others especially with your responsibilities, assets.

I support these bailouts for our farms. The banks don’t make anything but profits from grief. Along with Wall Street- they can piss off. A reduction in payroll taxes would also go a long way for all.

3
Eatinglue 3 points ago +3 / -0

Thank you for the support.

What is Wall Street though? An exchange of stocks. Selling stock is a way to raise money for your business and expand your operations. I don’t for my farm, but stock is a valuable way to expand business, so I don’t want Wall Street to take it in the ass either, that represents thousands of businesses taking a hit in their ability to grow.

1
MySidesGoUp 1 point ago +1 / -0

I wish it was that simple. An example is Insider trading from hacks like congress and senate- that’s not just an exchange of stocks. Many folks are playing with Wall Street capital via 401k’s and don’t get the bailout of poor investment strats like the hogs get bailed out.

Tech garbage is overvalued when compared to actual essentials. Biotechs using their stock base as an atm.

In a vacuum it’s fine

If you put on a tinfoil hat, supposedly in California they are telling farmers to till their crops, dump their milk, tell their chickens to stop making eggs etc, making an artificial short food supply.

Someone posted a letter from a dairy coop in Wisconsin telling them to dump milk and cull herds. There was also some in Canada saying the same and telling them to cull hens to reduce eggs supply.

Saw these both on Reddit. Wisconsin was on here. https://thedonald.win/p/FMSrXCPi/wisconsin-gov-telling-dairy-farm/c/

I’m always a little shocked to see the Dow Alert by the crawler when the market is up big time like 3% today, then I see it’s Fox Business. I rarely watch that network, but makes sense since they’re all about watching the market, the shitty news networks only shwo the Dow price when it’s tanking. And along that vein, other than a couple small buys which I need to do more of, the past few weeks, I just haven’t paid attention much to the day-to-day of the Dow since my retirement account has been trashed but holy shit, so as of now at least, Dow’s only off 5k from all time high. Still that’s 17%, but it was off by over 30%, 17% is doable considering these ridiculous circumstances. Just goes to show, most of Wall Street may dislike him, but they’re all about money and they know there’s 1 person in this country who can turn all this around quickly, and that man is President. They’re betting on a quick recovery with this bump today after the reopening announcements.

Obama bailed out the banks and establishment, Trump bailed out the American people.

1
Chawlns 1 point ago +1 / -0

He’s doing it! This guy is working his ass off for American workers. I hope this sticks and be forever changes people’s expectations of a president. I never thought that in my lifetime I’d see a president that fulfills his promises.

I work oil and gas, and when Trump pushed the OPEC deal, fuck I never felt more represented in my life.
