Their lead intake was far too high for far too long.

Vegas is now a sink hole. Even if we go to Phase 3 tomorrow, all states and other countries that create rules, force the hand of the aversion to travel and close quarters. Who will electively go to a massive petrie dish for fun?

I think my family will be fine (thankfully). But I have met so many single parents that live 'paycheck to paycheck' that are out of work with kids.

It feels a lot like after 9/11 and 2008 Bank collapse. But worse.

I hope you are all doing better...

And do not mail in your ballots!!

I agree, and can't for the life of me understand the huge jump in the stock market.

Yes, there is light at the end of the tunnel for beating the virus from a health standpoint.

But we haven't felt the severe economic impact of shutting down the Country for a couple of months, then only slowly opening up with millions of job losses.

Vegas is a luxury vacation, requiring a plane flight for most. I really don't think things will return to normal there and at many other resorts and vacation spots for many months. Many don't have the money and many won't want to take the risk.

The stock market reflects the inflation caused by injecting trillions of fake dollars into circulation.. 24000 now isn't what it was last time around.

Qualmow 4 points ago +4 / -0

The stock market raises because people who are not you or me may have massive interests working markets that might have other interests in mind.

( if everything was so scary as far as investments are concerned, and no one was going to go back to work, why would it increase?)

My worry about Las Vegas is that there are a lot of single parent families that used to make $20 (with an average of a $600 car payment, $300 power and $1100 for a two bedroom apartment) an hour and now have very little.

Bills stack up, tensions run high. Banks still collect while they are now behined the 'curve' and and over time the inner city becomes socially septic.

We saw this after 1999, 9/11, 2008 and 2012 with Obamacare.

(2008 was very scary as far as divorce rate, foreclosures and collapsed businesses and subsequently, families)

Every time, we were told " we are sorry, it could be worse, but at least you have something: we are all in this together. (Always watch when both sides say that) Let us all get along and it will get better... later."

And saying, Las Vegas is a luxury, you may be right. But, it is a luxury for other people who travel there from around the world, including Washington and China.

Those people don't care about who works roads, service, convention other jobs.

Why was Vegas not the first to get the quarantined due to the 'Virus' ?

Chinese New Year and convention season in January.

I say that because Coronavirus means people in Wisconsin who are farmers should dump their milk if they are a middling farmers.

Everyone gets \in- affected

So what is the system in control?

Who wins?

Stopping for gas, potty, etc

Potty? Is this person in kindergarten? How is anyone supposed to take that statement seriously?

Karen is just doing the “right thing” and waiting for CNN to tell her when it’s okay for her to have civil liberties again...

They're all regressing to elementary school, when the teacher knew everything and the bad kids had to be tattled on. Fuck them and fuck their goddamn coloring books.

We are divine by responsibility and rights.

If you are a Trucker, you can potty and shit with impunity.

Because truckers are apparently immune, you see.

I am a dad and it was funny rhetoric.

Nice debate line you have while not refuting any points.

Qualmow -5 points ago +1 / -6

@strangerthanfiction

Yup.

You are the clever-est person in the room.

All other posts should be rejected 'cause you scoff at parental langauge (because we all know that is low IQ and pedestrian for someone of your intellectual stature). None of the other myriad of posts have any bearing on the situation at hand.

Cause you are sooo smart.

Try adding to the conversation and not act like an NPC.

Qualmow -3 points ago +1 / -4

What, just a down vote, but no reply?

That must have stung you?

I thought we were all about free speech and debate. Not cheap rhetoric, snipeing and running away.

Try again. You can do this!

My daughter, SIL, and grandson, who live in another state, came to visit 2 weeks ago. They just left to drive back home. It’s stupid to keep families apart. Makes zero sense.

12
kag-2020- 12 points ago +12 / -0

Depends how you look at it. If you're trying to crash our economy, it makes perfect sense.

6
grassshrimp 6 points ago +6 / -0

It depends. If you are older with underlying conditions, some are unwilling to take the risk and I don't blame them. The majority of illnesses my wife and I get are from our Grandchildren. Schools are petri dishes.

Teacher here for 20+ years. Can confirm. Those parents who medicate their kids to bring down their fever and cover up their cough, runny noses, etc. and then send them to school don't help. Many parents will actually send their kids to school with the flu. It is unbelievable!

8
LadyWhoLovesTrump 8 points ago +8 / -0

Its because parents view us as free daycare.

4
Qualmow 4 points ago +4 / -0

Parents treat schools like daycares.

Thusly, teachers are given curriculum that do not agree with many teachers sensibilities.

And the cycle continues.

Qualmow 3 points ago +3 / -0

Kids at school do make you sicker.

Or do they build your immune system?

HA!

10
ShitOfPeace 10 points ago +10 / -0

We would be safer if we always just refused to do anything, but that's not a way to live. Every day before this people would go out despite many risks because we don't want to live in fear, refusing to have lives.

What the hell is the point of being alive if your entire life is spent holed up doing nothing?

Sheeple

Qualmow 2 points ago +2 / -0

Which ones and whom?

7
Choomguy 7 points ago +7 / -0

Anybody who buys into this nonsense. If you need to protect yourself from a widdle viwus, go ahead. I deal with way more dangerous stuff on a daily basis, you know things that can kill you.

2
Qualmow 2 points ago +2 / -0

I am with you on a few levels.

6
Belleoffreedom 6 points ago +6 / -0

Why? It depends on your location. Most counties are ready to open up.

1
Qualmow 1 point ago +3 / -2

I hope, for all of the people, it will be one of them. Even if the city is Sodom and Gamorha, some of the people are not.

I hope they are ok, as a people.

1
Qualmow 1 point ago +1 / -0

Wow, the down votes on that are pretty interesting.

6
SkitShowPhrenia 6 points ago +6 / -0

The Chinese quarantined people. Welded them into their apartments. We aren’t quarantined, we’re larping a quarantine. Calling timeout to go get groceries and then coming back home.
