I accept the possibility that it was released from a lab accidentally, but without some pretty strong evidence I think the idea that it was released intentionally is very far-fetched.
If the virus was in fact engineered, then those who made it know how contagious it was and they knew it could not possibly be contained. It makes no sense.
The question is though. Would China commit suicide to hurt Trump, and the answer is a resounding NO.
China will be the biggest loser from all this. Many countries are already calling for China to pay damages. They have assets in every country which can easily be seized. Beyond the threat of actual damages, most global companies will be moving to reduce their dependency on China and diversify their supply chains.
China was able to round up every dissenter during this "outbreak", including the doctors who attempted to sound an early whistle. They are still missing.
Moreover, China had a massive population distribution issue, due to the enactment of the one-child policy. They had a glut of seniors, who are forced to retire at age 50, due to a lack of enough jobs for everyone. They were a drain on the entire communist financial set-up, and the much smaller, younger population could not statistically carry them.
As it was, China was building hundreds of ghost cities just to create jobs, in order to prop up the economy. This virus, which targets the elderly in particular, was a great way to eliminate what they considered to be an economic anchor...an entire generation. And, again, it provided cover to eliminate political opposition.
China regained control out of this, as well as absolute demolition control over the western economies. And guys like Gates and Soros worked with them, funded them, for their own ends.
China doesn't realize it yet or, perhaps they do, but the globalists intend to use China to destroy the west, and then implode China and Russia.
