Having spent quite a few years in the tech world, ISP specifically, I assure you that all you need is root access to anything on any advanced router/server etc.

Virtually all communication/routing equipment for all network equip runs on a form of unix. If you back door root access you have control.

I wonder how easy it would be to hide a back door in a firmware update >.>

Huawei would be a turn-key spy grid for China.

China has EVERYONE'S info because of the Tech, Communications, Banking/Pay Service, etc companies they own part or all of. They could play Demolition Derby with the world economy any time they choose. Of course they would hurt themselves in the process.

Now we need the US to stop giving exemptions to Google and Silicon Valley so they can continue to work with Huawei and put an end to this company for good. And start a economic cold war with China by barring any nation we trade with from using Huawei.
