Oh I’ve heard it already, it becomes “See! It’s way more contagious than we thought! Go into lockdown even harder!”

All the while keeping they’ll cite the current death rate but say it’s way more infectious. I give up arguing and just say ok lock yourself down if you think it’s that bad.

This is literally what our governor is doing. It's awful. Be a miracle if we ever make to the first phase by June.

I'm not entirely sure California hasn't been hit by this in the past, as in years past not just Nov/Dec of 2019. It has been very mild on the West Coast even considering the retirement homes getting hit.

So I'm still weary of potential deep penetration in Middle America after the reopening, but that is just me being so jaded and paranoid I think its maybe true that the goal was targeted spreading of the virus in conservative States after possible years of reservoir eliminating efforts on the West Coast to create a Trojan Horse scenario - overwhelming Red states, calling Trump a murderer, and then praising West Coast elites for their superior methods and measures when they've literally inoculated people already and counted past years Corona deaths as pneumonia & influenza.

But I'm just paranoid like that, and I have legitimate worries middle America doesn't have the same degree of exposure and will thus see a late spring / early summer rush of severe covid cases.

I live in middle America (Ohio), and even though this is only anecdotal, I was hit TWICE late last year by two respiratory ailments - one, almost certainly influenza, and the other something I've never had - all within the span of 2 weeks.

My case is not atypical. Widespread antibody testing will shed further light on the issue.
