Isn't this going to tank in the long run? I have friends who are servers at restaurants (some fine dining and some just your franchise restaurants like Chilis) pulling $875 a week. Hell, if it wasn't for my job's medical insurance I'd get fired just to draw unemployment at $875 a week. Cannot fathom how all these people are now getting paid MORE to be unemployed.

Yeah, wife got laid off - $55k/yr salary. She's pulling $1000/week now, so basically the same or more as salary.
My salary was $75k and has been reduced to $45k and I'm about to get laid off as well, so it'll probably be more per month on unemployment than the current $45k I'm making, since they go by last year's earnings.
These people aren't going to even want their jobs back until the extra $600/mo runs out in July. Both the wife and I will be looking for new jobs (I'll be looking immediately, she's going to wait to see if her employer brings people back since she was there 20 yrs) because we're not NEET faggots, but basic math tells you these servers ain't gonna want their jobs back until after mid summer.
And when they have to get jobs again, the cries for UBI will be deafening. "You paid me $600/week before! Why not $2,000/month now! Obviously it's doable, and $2000/mo is less than $2400/mo! We deserve $2000/mo.or $20/hr minimum wage!"
