There are a few more rich areas in China, like Shenzhen and a bunch of other places. They call them Special Economic Zones, basically close to free market areas with communism outside of these zones. Shenzhen was nothing until Deng Xiaoping made it a SEZ. I guess it resembles fascism in a way, since the CCP is still the boss.

So essentially what they are doing is taking the best parts of capitalism and the worst part of communism and combing them. Interesting.
