Very few people write their own books. Trump used ghost writers who likely cleaned up dictated recordings he gave them too.

Similar to musicians not making their own music. One example is Madonna who just pays the flavor of the month to make her albums floptastic.

I can give the music one a pass at least if there's talent there. Some of the greatest singers never wrote any of their own music or played a single instrument. Maybe had a say in how it sounded or how they sang it, but they didn't write the lyrics or the music. Their job is to sing and people pay to hear them do that. Doesn't make them any less talented at that aspect of music. There are some people who write amazing music, but don't have the look or high end talent to becoming huge stars.

The problem in music is that we have too many people becoming famous who don't have much talent or in today's world their whole act is practically computer generated and they're just the face attached to it.

That’s exactly right. How it was done before, using same studio musicians, etc..is much different than what it evolved into.
