Yes. We need to spread to Steam. It's unclaimed territory ripe for the taking. 50 million daily active users. And many gamers already lean right and don't like SJWs.

It's criminal that we haven't organized our artists and coders into an effective unit that is pumping out free games with memes and redpills in them. It's critical to make sure the games have good solid gameplay and aren't preachy, but as long as you meet those requirements you can fill them with redpills and humor. Why not?

Also Steam has a famously strong commitment to free speech and refuses to censor games when SJWs cry. The game Hatred put that to a test and Steam passed it.

China banned international video game play inside its own borders for this reason. People were making mods critical of China and they were spreading to Chinese gamers.

You sound passionate and knowledgeable about this. You should make a separate post and help organize!

Thanks, it's an ambitious undertaking.. but I might just do it. Stay tuned!

Cool idea, but some warning: Making a video game (even a cheap one) is probably the hardest form of entertainment or messaging to create. Several high-training high-talent disciplines must come together and coordinate to make something worth playing. If you make something that sucks, there's an entire culture out there dedicated to mocking and humiliating you.

Agreed, whatever we make must absolutely stand on its own as a fun game with good gameplay before any political content is added, and it can't be preachy. I'm not bothered by attempts at mockery and humiliation and I fully expect them especially insincere ones from people who dislike the messages in the game. The sincere ones can be taken as feedback on how to improve the game if they're constructive.

Great idea.

I am a hobbyist game dev myself (Unity and Unreal) and have released at least one title to Steam and some webgames to Newgrounds and mobile games and such.

I would love to join in for a mission like this with some other patriot devs.

I think this needs to happen. u/ds420 pointed out the need for security and not leaving any breadcrumbs that could dox devs. Are you familiar with creating assets and publishing games anonymously? I'm not unfortunately but I want to learn.

Yea it really does need to happen. But no I'm not an expert on publishing anonymously. I don't think you really could do that with something like Steam, maybe Itch.io though.

This is a really good point. I need to learn more about what programs leave digital fingerprints on what assets and how to counter it. Know any good sources?
